Hi All,

Although it was a rather low turnout for last nights presentation it was an enjoyable evening. Michael Berkeley showed some great images and gave us a lot to useful tips in how to take sport and music shots.

Both our last two speakers, Paul Sanders and Jerry Webb, have workshops that may be of interest to members.

Paul can be found here https://www.discoverstill.com and a half day session for up to 6 people exploring his techniques is £75/person and he will come to you.

Jerry’s workshops are run in Brighton and can be found here,  https://www.jerry-webb.co.uk/workshops,  should you be interested you can contact Jerry here, jerry.timeworks@btopenworld.com, the cost is £50 a person.

Hilary Featherstone still requires prints for St Wilfred’s and Sage House so please make every effort to assist in this worthwhile project. The mounted prints are loaned to St Wilfreds Hospice and Sage House (dementia unit in Tangmere) for about 6 months , put into frames and hung for patients, visitors and staff to appreciate. The request is sent out to all members for contributions and she would ideally like about 40 mounted prints to make a selection from.

Prints must be mounted in standard size for club competitions (40x50cm). No portraits and No abstracts please,  (they confuse dementia patients). Local landscape scenes, coast line, woodlands, flowers etc. All prints are so appreciated by everyone and will trigger a talking point.

Please put your full name and title on the back so they can be returned to you. As the club is not meeting until the New Year Hilary would be grateful if prints could be delivered to her address from September 16th  – 30th  and placed into the box in her porch. Address is 2 Willowbed Avenue (Not Drive), Chichester PO198JD Those prints to be returned will be stored in the returns box at Tangmere for collection in the New Year.

Next week our advanced members are under pressure in their 1st PDI competition. My bet is that they rise to the occasion so it should be a great night with lots of superb images to admire.

Best regards

Mike
