I am delighted to announce that Jim Munday’s imagePort in a Storm (above) has been chosen by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) to represent England/Northern Ireland in the FIAP Colour Print Biennial 2019.
It is a great honour for the club that the work of one of our members has been chosen to represent the country in this very prestigious Biennial competition. Congratulations Jim!
Congratulations to Graham Walls who has been enrolled on the Southern Counties Photographic Federation Roll of Honour.
Graham Walls accepting his award from Peter Rocchiccioli, President of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation
Graham is hugely deserving of this award, which is given in recognition of his long service to the Chichester Camera Club. He has been a stalwart of our club for over forty years. In addition to his several years of service as Print Competition Secretary he was also Chairman of our Selection Committee for many years. In this capacity he has been very supportive of our external competitions. He also served on the club committee for an extended period of time. Now in his late eighties, he continues to work for the club, each Thursday he still sets out all the chairs for the meeting before any of the other members have even arrived.
Congratulations Graham, the club is very proud of your achievment.
Please see the message from Paul Stone, Horndean Camera Club, below.
Could you please circulate this email to all camera clubs in the SCPF area.
PLEASE BE AWARE
A fraudster has obtained names & email addresses of our club chairman & club secretary & has sent an email in the name of the chairman using a slightly altered club chairman email address to the club secretary email address using both of our names as stated on the club website.
The email from the chairman is asking me, the secretary, to pay an outstanding invoice for unspecified goods. I am 99% sure that the fraudster has got the details of myself & the chairman from our website as they are the only contact details stated on our website.
Should any other club have a similiar attempt made to demand that an invoice be paid by your club for unspecified goods, please notify me at email@example.com & I will co-ordinate the details to be past on to the police fraud section.
We were delighted to see Ann McDonald and Sheila Tester both receive awards at the Club meeting on Thursday 21st February – and to have Peter Rocchiccioli present them in his role as President of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation. A very ‘well done’ to both!
Sheila Tester, receiving the SCPF Roll of Honour, by the Federation president Peter Rocchiccioli. A distinction which she very well deserved for the work she has put into Chichester Camera Club over ten years, and before that was a member of Marwell Photographic Group. She has served on Chichester’s Management Committee many times, currently as Southern Counties Federation Representative, and is also an active member of the Selection Committee. Sheila is also of course absolutely vital is the success of our Annual and North Mundham Exhibitions where she is our catering supremo. A very well deserved award to Sheila for all her contributions to club photography.
Ann McDonald won the best portrait individual award at the PAGB GB cup for the open projected images for her Portrait of a Lady, and is shown here receiving the award from by the SCPF President Peter Rocchiccioli. This is a great achievement by Ann as there were only eleven awards given nationally and this was also the only one within the SCPF. Many congratulations to Ann for this splendid recognition.
