Weekly update

Please note that the meeting on Thursday 29th February will be by Zoom, not at Tangmere. Guy Edwardes will be presenting ‘Landscapes of the British Isles’.

On 22nd Feb we held the 2nd Club/Intermediate PDI competition and were very grateful to our judge, Malcolm Bull, for standing-in for Tony Oliver, who was unwell. Malcolm gave us an instructive evening, with a descriptive analysis of each image, explaining how it led his eye round the frame to appreciate the story the photographer was seeking to convey. He commented on how successfully the composition was arranged to give a sense of place, atmosphere or motion and sometimes suggested a different approach to produce a better image.
