Weekly Update

SCPF Print League This week CCC gave a warm welcome to David Smith, LRPS, CPAGB, BPE1* our judge for Round 4 of the SCPF Print League competition. David has been a SPA ‘A list’ judge and lecturer for a number of years. It was good to see this experienced judge at work and hear his critique on each of the prints. We look forward to welcoming you back, David, to judge our Annual Exhibition in August 2025.We are pleased to say that CCC did well. We came second on the night. We are still at the top of the league, four points ahead of Southampton. The next round is at Winchester Photographic Society on 7th January. Next Thursday there are two rounds of the SCPF PDI League taking place. One is at Newbury Photography Club, judged by Jason Hyde and the other is at Farnborough Camera Club – online as it is being judged by Steven Le Prevost from Guernsey. Christmas Social Thursday 12th December 19.00 – 21.30

We hope you have our Christmas Social date in your diary. Our Thursday evenings are so packed that it is difficult to have a long sociable break so the Management Committee hope that members will take advantage of joining us for a whole evening of socialising – further information to follow but we thought you may want to think about the print you would like to submit: ‘My Favourite Gift.’ Members can submit one mounted print that will be displayed on our print stands. All members present on the evening will vote for their favourite print, placing them in first, second and third place. This means that members will be able to socialise for the first half of the evening too, while viewing the prints and discussing the merits of each.
