Print Group Tuesday 10th November
Members enjoyed Tuesday’s Print Group which looked particularly at the idea of ‘competition images’ and the sort of criteria judges look for. With the deadline for submitting the first print competition entries for Beginner and Intermediate workers only two weeks away (Thursday 26th November), newer members found this especially useful.
Charlie Roe brought along some of the wonderful images by Charlie Simcox, including photographs of Chichester in the 1950s and a superb portrait dating back to 1942, which we greatly enjoyed seeing.
Next month we will be looking at the different types of print papers and how they can affect the look of the image, as well as, as always, images in every state of development that members would welcome comments and advice on. And, it being the last meeting before Christmas, there will of course be mince pies!
