Chairmen’s Blog 8th January
We started 2016 with cinematographer Nick Eriksson who showed us an excerpt from his film A Dark Reflection http://www.adarkreflection.com and some brilliant short films and a music video. He gave us an insight into the preplanning and execution in making these films and achieving a ‘look’ and both tension and calm with longish sequences with little dialogue and appropriate music and above all superb images. All our senses were affected by the impact of the visual sequences demonstrating the power of cinema and how it is integral to the creation of images. We wish Nick good luck with his future projects and appreciated his dedication and professionalism and enjoyed his excellent presentation and good responses to all the members questions.
It was underlined that the clubs exhibitions: The Advanced Workers at North Mundham, The Spring Exhibition and Summer Exhibition are the responsibility of all the members in the club to make a success, not just the exhibitors but all the others who contribute.
