A New Beginning

Good morning to you all. I hope you and yours are all well and safe during these weird times.

First a very big thanks to all for giving me the honour of being your Chair for the next two years. I am looking forward to maintaining the high level of proffessionalism that has been demonstrated by past Chairs since I joined the club. 

I’d like to be a visible and contactable Chair as I think it is important that members feel comfortable in being able to contact me and discuss any issues that they may have whether they be good or bad. While I might not be able to find a solution I will try to attain the best one possible.

Last night we had a very good AGM and I’d like to express my thanks to all the officers and post holders who have been elected and really look forward to working with them. I’d also like to thank Mike Hancock on your behalf for his sterling work over the last two years and wish him a happy retirement.

Currently we have a programme running to the first week in July and last night we agreed that we should continue throughout the summer break with further talks from guest speakers. Please keep an eye on the programme section of our website for further details.

Finally, it is an unknown when we will be able to start our meetings at Tangmere so we will keep a very close eye on future Government plans before we make any decisions and will keep you fully informed.

Thanks again and stay safe. It will end sometime soon (that’s Covid by the way not my chairmanship) I hope.
