RPS Group – 21st February
The RPS Group meets in the small hall on Tuesday 21st February to support those interested in working towards the Royal Photographic Society distinctions. Whether you are already some way to completing your portfolio or would like to simply find out more you’ll be very welcome.
We have a number of the group making good progress towards submitting for the LRPS – the Licentiate award, and a couple more with ideas about Associate submissions. At LRPS level, the award is about demonstrating good photographic understanding and camera technique with sound technical skills, while at the higher levels submissions are made to particular genres – such as landscape, documentary or visual art. The group is well supported with advice from those who already hold RPS distinctions, including at Fellowship level, and who have experience working with the RPS panels that make the assessments.
A key requirement for these awards is that the images (10 for L, 15 for A and 20/21 for F) work together as a panel – and that’s a really useful skill for Club exhibitions and for the forthcoming Print Panel Competition. So do join us to find out more!
We meet at 7.15pm for 7.30pm start and the cost is £3 for Club members and £4 for visitors.
