Ladies’ Little Christmas

Dear Ladies of the Club

In the last few years we have taken to celebrating Little Christmas – or Nollaig na mBan  in Ireland – which takes place on Epiphany. Traditionally, and the tradition exists in places across the British Isles and Scandinavia, this is the day when the women rest and the men undertake all the usual chores. We celebrate by getting together for lunch.

Epiphany, or Twelfth Night, falls this year on Monday 6th January and rather than extend our Christmas celebrations into another week, we will celebrate on Friday 3rd January provisionally at the Walnut Tree in Runcton at 12.30 for 1pm.

In the first instance please let me know by email (lornabrown200@gmail.com) if you would like to join us. A little alter I will ask for your menu choice in advance of the booking.

Please let me know by Friday 20th December if you would like to come along – there is no need to contact me if you will not be coming.
