Volunteering
Please consider volunteering to help with the exhibition. It takes quite a bit of manpower to keep the event going over 7 days! It’s a great way to get involved and get to know other members. There are three teams that need volunteers:
- The heavy mob move all the equipment from Tangmere to the Assembly Room to set up the exhibition. Mike Harris is the leader – please contact him (mickpipharris@yahoo.co.uk) to add your name to the list.
- The catering team provide refreshments to visitors. This is an important income earner for us. Please contact Sarah Nichol (digitalgroup@chichestercameraclub.org.uk) to offer your services.
- The stewarding team ensure the exhibition is ready in the morning, and then greet visitors, encouraging them to buy catalogues and vote for their favourite images. This is a vital role in making visitors feel welcome. Julia Wainwright is co-ordinating this team – please contact her (julia@juliasimagesuk.com) to help.
Cast your vote
Members have the opportunity to choose the recipients of two cups presented at the Annual Exhibition. The Coath Cup goes to the Photographer of the Year and the Edmunds Cup recognises an individual who has served the club over the past year – someone who has gone the extra mile, over and above the call of duty. Find out more here. Cast your vote by sending an email to chair@chichestercameraclub.org.uk stating clearly your choice for the worthy winner of each trophy, by early July.
