RPS Group – 17th January
The first RPS group meeting of 2023 is Tuesday 17th January. A number of the group are working on portfolios for submission to the Royal Photographic Licentiate distinction, and a couple thinking about projects for the further qualifications. Not all are at that stage yet, and if you’d simply like to find out more you are very welcome to join us to simply observe.
If you are thinking about working towards the distinctions and have some work for consideration, it doesn’t need to be mounted, indeed a good starting point is to being along a good number of prints – 20 or more – at A5 size to start with. It’s a good idea though to stick these to a pale card as this will keep the prints on the print stand more effectively, but it’s not critical to do so.
The group is well supported by members who have achieved RPS distinctions, and by Janey Devine, who is a member of the RPS Licentiate Panel and both the Documentary and Travel Panels, by John Bradshaw who has many years’ experience of the Contemporary Panel and is led by Lorna Brown who has just joined the Visual Arts Panel.
We meet in the Small Hall at TVC at 7.15pm for 7.30pm and the charge is £3 for Club Members and £4 for visitors who are also very welcome.
