North Mundham – Update
I’m very pleased to say that North Mundham is shaping up very nicely with over 30 print exhibitors, including some newer members whose work we look forward to seeing for the first time. While print exhibitor space is pretty much full (any last minute requests need to come to me in the next couple of days) there is still plenty of room for PDI submissions. You can enter up to 6 images (no selection process, no judging) and the upload process is as for all competitions to be found via the Photocomp entry system. Details about submitting biographies for print exhibitors will be sent by email to those taking part.
While the exhibition is for Advanced Workers (Club Class and Intermediate members get their own exhibition in April) it is for everyone and provides one of the key social events of the Club year, as well as the chance to see creative and unusual work from the Advanced group. Volunteers are needed for daily catering (we serve soups, salads, cakes etc over the two days) and for the Saturday evening meal. Sarah Nichol will be looking for the day time helpers and Chris Worsley for the evening. Margret Preece will be taking bookings for the evening meal shortly – please note you will need to choose your meal in advance this year, and any special dietary requirements can be catered for too.
All print exhibitors are asked to provide a print for the Print Raffle, a range of beautiful well mounted prints on display as our visitors enter the hall is a great encouragement for them to buy raffle tickets in the hope they will won their favourite! Caroline Preece will be looking for these from you all. Don’t forget that your exhibited prints can also attract buyers, with a commission on sales of 15% to the Club.
We’re pleased to welcome back Joan and John Barnham who will once more be running the sales table. If you have old photographic kit you’d like to sell – or indeed greetings cards (from any members, not just Advanced) you can bring these along, again with a 15% commission to the Club.
Carmel Lynch will be setting up the Tombola and contributions towards that are also needed.
It will be good to be back at North Mundham for the first time since 2020 and it’s certainly looking to be an exciting exhibition which will include a special tribute to our much missed Graham Sergeant a variety of his Audio Visuals, both touching and humorous, to enjoy.
