Chair

Apologies for the delay in circulating this mail as I was taking part in a Children in Need golf day Friday morning and at a concert in Brighton Friday afternoon/evening.

Great competition last Thursday and congratulations to all who entered some great images. It certainly demonstrates our clubs strength in depth.

Please all note that the Xmas meeting date has been changed from Thursday 9th December to Wednesday 8th to allow the Bognor Chair to be present. Further details will be circulated later as regards to the theme for this year.

Those attending the developers group this Monday please see the item from Andy Bracey in this newsletter as it has important information you need to be aware of.

The School of photography is offering the following to any Chichester member who is interested in their new landscape course. A 20% off discount using the discount code LAUNCH20 on checkout – Ends Sunday 14th of November. The details can be accessed using the link below.

NEW COURSE – Pro Landscape Photography 20% off

I hope you’ll be pleased to know that I have had a meeting with Mim McCann who is Chair of the Chichester Open Studios Art Trail. We both think that photography as an art form has not previously featured in the Art Trail and would like to see it included. Details about this group and registration can be found using this link. https://www.chichesterarttrail.org/artist-registration/.

We also feel that both groups could benefit one another in other ways such as supporting each other by advertising in Art Trail or Exhibition programmes. Should any member/s be interested in showing their work in the Art Trail and has a venue/studio that can be used, then entry for the 2022 Art Trail has to be registered by the end of this month. I’d suggest you access the Art Trail website using the link and give it some thought. I will be having further meetings with Mim to develop this potentially beneficial partnership between our groups.

Next week we are in the company of Tim Flach with his talk entitled ‘How to Evoke Empathy Through Animal Portraiture’ so should be an interesting presentation.

Stay safe.

Mike
