Weekly Update
Last week we had an interesting presentation from zoologist, artist and photographer Victoria Hillman. She took us on a tour through Wild Hidden Bulgaria and some of it’s amazing wildlife through her own very special style of photography and way of seeing.
We also presented two certificates for our Highly Commended images from the SCPF League Finals Day which was judged in May. At the Finals Day competition they had printer problems so this is the first opportunity to give these out . One was awarded to Julia Wainwright for her “Starling Squabble”, which got a Highly Commended in the PDIs and the other was awarded to Jim Munday for “Storm Noa at Newhaven” which got a Highly Commended in the prints.
Sad News – Bill McKnight’s wife, Ruth, who had been ill for a long time died recently. Bill is a long standing life member known to many in the club. He did all the cooking on Iain’s workshops. He also cooked the North Mundham suppers for many years. Many of the members knew Ruth as well. Our thoughts are with Bill and his family.
Digital Group this week tomorrow. My apologies to Sarah for getting this Newsletter out late, but I hope that you will have seen the post on the website to get your PDIs to her. She and Jeff are looking forward to working with you tomorrow.
