Weekly update
Please note that the presentation entitled ‘Mostly Abstract’ by Linda Bembridge FRPS on Thursday 2nd March WILL BE BY ZOOM. There will be no meeting at Tangmere.
Last Tuesday, the Selection Committee spent several hours choosing the 15 prints and 15 PDIs which will represent the Club in the SCPF Championship, being hosted by Lymington Camera Club on 26th March. On Thursday, Rob De Ruiter judged the 2nd Club/ Intermediate print competition, including the attached top-scoring image by Brian Muir.
In changes to the programme, Janey Devine has very kindly agreed to make a presentation on 13th April, instead of the advertised talk by Tony Stevens. Note that the deadline for entries in the 3rd Club/Inter print competition has been brought forward to 27th March, as there will be no meeting on 4th May (Local elections).
On the subject of elections, a number of Club posts will become available next season. Please can I encourage you to volunteer to help in the workings of the Club. Vacancies will arise on the Management and Selection Committees, as well as for the roles of Treasurer and External Exhibition Secretary, which covers the Hospice and Sage House; Jeff Owen would like someone to understudy him as PDI secretary. If you are willing to help, please contact me at mailto:chair@chichestercameraclub.org.uk and we can discuss the options.
Reminders: the Digital Group will meet at Tangmere on Tuesday 28th February (see below), 2nd March is the deadline for entries for the ‘Small print of the year’ competition and 9th March is the entry deadline for the 3rd Club/Intermediate PDI competition.
