Weekly update

Last night’s meeting was the 1st Club/Intermediate print competition and it was great to see so many images from our newest members. Congratulations to all those who entered and were dealing with printing and mounting for the first time. Our judge was the very experienced Jim Pascoe BA ABIPP ARPS and he felt that several of the Club images were strong enough to do well at Intermediate or even Advanced level, which augurs well for the future. The featured image is Sloe Fair by Andrew Vance.

This month’s photowalk will be in Brighton tomorrow, Saturday 11th November. The meeting point is outside Marks & Spencer, 195 Western Road, opposite the Churchill Square Shopping Centre at 12 noon. Street photography, something to eat and then down to the Palace Pier to see the starling murmuration.

The Print Group will meet at Tangmere at 7:15 for 7:30 on Tuesday 14th November. Please bring along say 3 prints for constructive review. There will also be a practical demonstration of how to profile a monitor.

The deadline for submissions for the next round of the Small Print competition is Thursday 16th November. Please deliver your prints to either John Strickland or Madeleine Craggs.
