Weekly update
Last night, Len Brook gave us a photographic tour of West Sussex but with a twist. His theme was ‘Myths of the South Downs’ and we heard tales of mysterious disappearances, highwaymen, gibbets and ghosts to accompany Len’s beautiful landscapes.
There are lots of successes to celebrate this week – Michael Palmers’ hard won but very well deserved FRPS, George Atkins’ DPAGB, Richard Ryder’s CPAGB and Lorna Brown’s induction to the SCPF’s Roll of Honour. Chris Gledhill was presented with the DPAGB certificate which was awarded last year (pictured). After a very close contest, Caroline Preece topped the Advanced Print League, edging out Jim Munday on count-back. Very well done and congratulations to you all.
There will be no meeting next Thursday 4th May, as the Tangmere Community Centre is being used for elections. The following week (11th) will be the AGM, which is being held over Zoom. If anyone has entries for the 3rd Club/Intermediate Print competition which they were unable to deliver last night, they will be accepted up to 4th May if delivered directly to Andy Dulson or Mike Harris.
For the Annual Exhibition, the number of PDI’s which can be entered is 4, rather than 6 as previously advised. The deadline for entries (including prints) is May 18th. And please sign-up now for stewarding and catering duties at the exhibition.
