Weekly Update

Yesterday evening we welcomed Chris Dixon back to the club to judge the second round of the Club and Intermediate Print competition. Chris has an ARPS and covers a wide range of genres in his photographic interest, funding his passion for new kit with the money he has made from photography over the years. His photos have been used in several publications and he has an excellent website containing some beautiful images – well worth a look http://chrisdixonphotography.com

He judged the images in a clear, concise way offering constructive criticism where due, giving a fair and accurate appraisal of what was being presented. ‘Watch your borders” came up as it does frequently and was a good take home message to be reinforced for those looking to improve their images.

Lorna Brown presented Sarah Nichol with a well deserved bunch of flowers and vote of thanks for all the tireless work she has done in making the catering side (and other aspects) of the North Mundham exhibition work so smoothly over the years. Well done and congratulations Sarah !

The boxes are out now and Photocomp is also open for the 3rd Advanced Print competition entries, the closing date being 5th March. Photocomp is also now open for Spring Exhibition PDI’s, the closing date being the 12th March.

Next Tuesday the 24th the Camercraft SIG will be meeting at Tangmere, start time 7.15pm. Next Thursday’s meeting will be a presentation by Steve Best entitled “Steve Best Shoots”
