Weekly Update

Last Thursday we heard from Eva Kalpadak and her presentation ‘the empty space in photography a metaphor for creativity’. Eva was born in Crete. Now based in Brighton, Eva works against the conventions of the photographic medium, using photography to question its own nature and to create a subtle tension between what is seen and what is perceived. Food for thought. Thank you Eva for sharing your photographic journey with us.

A very special thank you to Jim Munday and the selection committee (and of course the photographers) for their great choices in submissions to the SCPF Print League – We are Print League champions for the second year running. Thank you to the photographers and the selection committee led by Jim – Lorna, Michael, Julia, John, scribe Ann and observers Lorraine and Ian (pictured).

This week: RPS on Tuesday and Thursday sees the second Club and Intermediate print competition. Thursday is also the closing date for submissions for 3rd Advanced PDI competition.
