Weekly Update
Last week saw some wonderful images judged by Ashley Francis who gave some really helpful feedback. Results in the posts below.
A huge debt of thanks go to all who were involved in the planning and delivery of the North Mundham Advanced Exhibition this weekend led by Lorna Brown – Thank you Lorna.
Other key team leaders were: Sarah Nichol – daily catering, Transport and set up/ take down – Mike Harris and team, Publicity – Matt Thompson and Vince Lavender, Reception and print raffle – Margret Preece and Ann McDonald, Biographies – Peter Bamforth, Mark Darbin and Jeff Owen – PDIs and photobooks and of course much general help from others too. So many in these teams have put so many hours in before we all arrive and after we have left. A very special mention for this goes to Sarah and Mike and team. The latter dismantled the exhibition in only 35 minutes but still had the work to take back to storage. One of the team was Richard Boocock who volunteered after only being a member for a week, putting himself forward during our ask for help. A great way to get involved, if you can, and to meet other members.
Despite the weather and worries about floods the exhibition was really well attended. Many attendees took advantage of a sociable lunch or a drink and the temptation of the wonderful array of cakes. Next exhibition dates to put in your diaries are 28th and 29th March at Tangmere – The Spring Exhibition for Club and Intermediate members. Sarah will have the forms at the club on Thursday for you to enter.
This week:
Tuesday 10th Image and Presentation Group (see post below) The focus will be on mono as well as looking at some of your images.
Thursday 12th Eva Kalpadak – ‘The empty space in photography as a metaphor for creativity.’
