Weekly Update

It was lovely to see new member Richard at the club on Thursday as well as potential member Maria. We were treated to a view of the best of the best in the SCPF Division 1 first round of the PDI competition. Results are in the post below as well as details about how to see round 2 via zoom this coming week. Suffice to say that our selection committee continue to excel themselves in choosing our entries to these external competition as well of course the photographers whose images are chosen.

We are coming up to the busy season of our club activities with our 3 exhibitions starting with the Advanced in North Mundham on the 7th and 8th of February. Our club is a members organisation with members working for members. If you can, please do volunteer to help out where you are able so that it doesn’t fall to the too few….. what is the expression? ‘Many hands make light work!’

Mike Harris would like to hear from those who can help move the display screens to and pick them up from, the exhibitions – North Mundham being the most urgent. Sarah Nicholl would like you to sign up for the North Mundham refreshment rota. Lorna Brown would like to hear from you if you can staff the second hand equipment table. Ann and Carmel require stand ins for raffle tickets sales. I would like to hear from you if you are interested in joining the management committee or would like to shadow and act as back up to any post holder. Please do come and chat to us and if you can’t find those mentioned above please come and find me – Sue Nash and I will introduce you. New members have said that one of the ways of getting to know people is indeed to volunteer. We would love to hear from you
