Weekly update
In last night’s Zoom presentation, Dr Thomas Peck treated us to a thoughtful analysis of photographic portraiture over the years, from the very earliest daguerreotypes, through wet collodion techniques to more recent times. His theme was how photographers have sought to capture emotion, including grabbing the cigar from Winston Churchill’s hand, to snap his resultant grumpiness! The featured image is of Tom’s father. Tom also runs workshops in a wide range of locations. See http://www.questphoto.co.uk
On Tuesday, the Image and Presentation Group will focus on the selection of printing papers and mounting for competitions and exhibitions (see below). On Thursday, we will be back at Tangmere for the 1st Club/Intermediate print competition and on Saturday 16th, Brian Muir and Giles Smith will be leading a street photowalk in Brighton. Meet at Brighton railway station at 10:30. Please let me know at mailto:photowalks@chichestercameraclub.org.uk if you would like to join.
