Weekly Update
Annual Exhibition Success – what an enjoyable week it was welcoming the public in to see our 74th Annual Exhibition. They commented on the ‘diverse range’, ‘beautifully mounted’, ‘wonderful standard’, ‘lovely exhibition especially the slide show backed by gentle music’, ‘loads of different ideas, great, and wonderful cake!’. Thank you to Peter Farrelly and everyone who put so much in to helping this run smoothly.
In two weeks time we start our new season, welcome new members and get to see our photographer friends. We have made some changes in the Special Interest Groups following on from the survey and further information is in the post below. Please think about how you may be able to lend a hand in the new season for us to ‘spread the load’ – helping with the refreshments, giving a vote of thanks to the speaker/judge, helping set up the microphone on the speaker and of course setting up and clearing away the hall. If you did not pick up your blue tri-fold programme before the exhibition, they will be available on our first evening of the new season – Thursday 4th September to hear Ian Howard and his presentation – The Truth is Black and White (with shades of grey). Thanks go to Kevin Macknay for putting together a great programme. See you on the 4th. (Featured image – Lost Lobster by Roy Page.)
