What a lovely evening the 74th CCC Annual Exhibition Preview was – seeing the exhibition before the public, time to socialise with some fantastic refreshments – thank you so much Sarah and team – you worked so hard and it really was very much appreciated, and of course there was the awarding of our trophies by the Mayor, our Patron and by the judge David Smith. see featured image by Jan Davis. David reiterated his kind words from the catalogue, ‘It was both a pleasure and a privilege to be invited to judge Chichester Camera Club’s 2025 Exhibition. The standard was high in each of the classes and there was a wide and enjoyable range of genres on show, which is a great testament to the club’s strength in depth. The club is demonstrably one where club members enjoy their photography and where photographers are able to improve and develop in a supportive atmosphere.’ These are the comments we are also hearing on a daily basis from our visitors. The weather is luring people to the beach etc but those who have made it into Chichester are finding the soothing music, the air conditioning, the cakes on offer and of course the wonderful images inspiring and a welcome break from the heat. We were so pleased to welcome members from other camera clubs as well as the Vice President and past President of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation.

Remember what goes up has to come down – we will need to dismantle the exhibition at 16.00 this Saturday – not before. Please wait for the go ahead from Peter Farrelly. Mike Harris who leads to the strong arm team was pleased to see a couple of newer members to this team at set up and hopes that as many as possible can help with this team – many hands make light work. Thank you in anticipation.

A warm welcome awaits visitors, family, friends and of course other photographers. This year some 60 members are exhibiting over 300 prints and nearly 200 digital images in a diverse range of genres including landscape, action, creative, nature, portrait, street, documentary and abstract. Work made on both traditional cameras and smartphones will be on show.

Four days left until the exhibition closes at 16.00 on Saturday 16th August. Opens daily at 10.00. Assembly Rooms, North Street, Chichester. Refreshments are available and the exhibition is fully accessible.
