The Introductory PDI Competition for 2025-26

A fresh, new format will be launched this month for new, and Club members only, to replace the Small Print Competition (which has been held in previous years). This will be in the form of a PDI competition, with 3 rounds being held between now and April 2026.

With each round, members can submit up to 3 PDI’s at a time. The submission date for the 1st round is Thursday 4th December (as per Tri-fold programme), the 2nd and 3rd round submission dates being; 29th January and 12th March. The results of the competition will be announced on the 14th May.

The need to know bits are as follow’s;

Images need to be jpeg, and colour space SRGB

Images do not need resizing – send as they are and remember to Title them

Up to 3 images per round and no limitations on theme, only limited adjustments and cropping are allowed

Phones can also be used

They will be judged by the selection committee.

No certificates will be awarded in the competition

You will be offered the option of feedback at possibly the Image and Presentation special interest group in January or at a main Thursday evening session – further details to follow.

All entrants need to send their images to John Strickland by the above dates at the latest. A separate newsletter of where to send them will be sent to members 2 weeks before the submission date – for the first round this will be on the 20th November. Good luck.
