SCPF Print & PDI Championships
Please see below the text of an email from Suzie Kirkby, containing details of Sunday’s SCPF Championships at Littleton (near Winchester).
We have 15 prints and 15 PDIs in this competition and the top three clubs in each category will be invited to represent the SCPF at the prestigious PAGB Championships later in the year.
All members are invited to this event and it is a good opportunity to see how this type of competition is judged.

Hi,
A final reminder that next weekend on Sunday 22nd March your club’s members are invited to the most prominent competition of the SCPF season. 600 PDIs and 299 Prints have been entered for what will be a tremendous, and swift, showcase of our members’ amazing photography.
This year we’re at Littleton Millennium Memorial Hall, Littleton SO22 6QL (W3W: https://what3words.com/fanfare.hockey.rave). Parking at the venue is free but may not be as copious as usual as there will be other users of the playing fields so carshare where possible. Your driver may wish to drop someone at the door with the prints before parking.
Doors open at 10am with proceedings starting promptly at 10:30. Remember that prints that need to be registered by 10:30. PDIs are judged in the morning and Prints in the afternoon from 2pm. We should finish around 5pm after the presentation of awards including the eight PAGB medals. Unfortunately, we are unable to livestream this time but hope to put highlights on YouTube.
There is no admission charge for SCPF affiliated clubs’ members. Tea and coffee will be available. A packed lunch is recommended but there are facilities a short drive away in north-west Winchester; please check online. We are grateful to Fotospeed who will have their range of paper products on display and should be specially priced for the day.
Our three judges are:
- Edward Hyde FRPS (SPA)
- Sandie Cox EFIAP ARPS DPAGB (WCPF)
- Ralph Snook EFIAP/s ARPS DPAGB (WCPF)
We are indebted to our hosts Winchester PS, many Council members and several others who have put in a massive amount of dedicated preparation to make this event a success. It is a superb opportunity to not only admire the fantastic images but also meet other clubs’ members, judges and lecturers. Please encourage everyone to come along to this enjoyable event.
Best wishes,
Suzie
