SCPF Print League Round 1
Chichester Camera Club are in the top division of the SCPF Print league and won the league competition last season. There are seven other clubs in this division – Basingstoke, Highcliffe & Infinity, Newbury, New Forest, Southampton, Winchester and Yateley. For this competition, each club must submit eight prints and then all 64 prints go round each club in turn, being judged by a different judge each time. Points are awarded depending on the position a club finishes in each round – 8 points for 1st place, 7 points for 2nd and so on down to 1 point for 8th.
The first round was hosted by Basingstoke Camera Club on Thursday and judged by Tony Oliver. Once again we’ve got off to a very good start, winning this round with a score of 72 points, three and a half points ahead of Yateley. There were six 10s awarded and we had three of them:
- “Arun Dawn” by Richard Paterson
- “Black Grouse Reaching for Bud” by Julia Wainwright
- “Powering Through the Bend” by Jim Munday
You will get to see all 64 of these prints on 27th November when we host the next round, judged by David Smith who judged our annual exhibition earlier this year.
The full list of fixtures for this season can be found on the SCPF website here, along with the league standings once the League Secretary has updated the database.
