Please note that the meetings due on 16th September, 21st October and 18th November are postponed.

You might be aware that the RPS is currently reviewing the distinctions framework and currently it is very unclear what the new system will look like, or indeed when it will come into effect. All One2Ones are on hold, along with advisory days. This means we are unable to know how to best advise on the way forward for new applicants.

Consequently we have very regretfully decided that it will be best to suspend the group for the moment, reviewing the situation again as we approach the New Year when we hope we may have a better sense of the intended direction.

That said, for those who already have portfolios in development, do continue with these and there maybe support to you on an individual basis (in the future) which we think will be more effective than the group situation at present. It really is worth continuing with projects, please don’t be put off by this glitch! RPS group Leader Lorna will be in touch with those who already have portfolios in development at some time in the future. Please do not contact her at present – she has more than enough to think about with her husband having had an operation this week and all that entails. Thank you for you patience with this.

However, the club will be making good use of the 21st October and 18th of November dates for two other ad hoc groups for a Portrait Studio session and a Multi media session on calendars and Audio Visual projects – more information to follow.
