Photowalks

Many thanks to Charlie Allison for leading an entertaining photowalk at Amberley Museum’s Steampunk Festival last weekend. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was there (pictured), together with assorted steam engines and some interesting takes on Victorian dress. The participants were delighted to show off their costumes and so were happy to be moved to suitable backdrops to be photographed. I’m told that several of the resultant images will reappear in competitions in due course.

The next photowalk will be in Brighton on Saturday 16th November and is timed to follow soon after the Camera Craft group’s session on street photography. Brighton offers abundant opportunities for this genre, so it will suit experienced photographers as well as those trying it for the first time. The walk will be led jointly by Richard Paterson and Brian Muir. More detailed information will follow nearer the time.
