New Season

Mike Harris has now handed over the Chair to me and I look forward to working with you all. He leaves me with big shoes to fill and did a great job in steering us through the Covid pandemic. This year’s award to him of the Edmunds Cup for outstanding service to the Club was very well deserved.

The annual exhibition was a real success, even after two years absence. Large numbers of visitors echoed judge Chris Palmer in praising the quality of the work on display. Lorna Brown was exemplary as Exhibition Secretary and steered her army of helpers with military precision. Many thanks to you all.

Last night we held our introductory meeting for our new members, to whom we extend a warm welcome. Please make a point of introducing yourself to them at future meetings.

Our new season starts on Thursday 1st September with a presentation at Tangmere by Tony Gervis FRPS, entitled ‘Visions of America’. Tony has photographed in all 50 States over the past 45 years and has been an official photographer of the National Parks of America. One of his images is featured.
