PAGB GROUP MEETING on MONDAY 7th OCTOBER at the TANGMERE VILLAGE CENTRE

The PAGB group has its first meeting of the season on Monday evening 7TH October in the small hall at the Tangmere Village Centre. We meet at 6.45pm for a prompt start at 7.00pm. Please come early to help get the room ready for the meeting. Cost is £3 for club members and £4 for non members.

We have a new lead with Peter Rocchiccioli, supported by Ann McDonald and Peter Bamforth and we are looking forward to a super year with lots of new ideas but with the ethos of getting as many of you through the various distinctions available within the PAGB.

Starting with the first meeting Ann will give a 15 minutes talk on the 5 PAGB distinction awards. All are welcome to learn about these distinctions.

The group is also dedicated to help you enter other competitions such as FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique} and also BPE (British Photographic Exhibitions) which offers the Crown Award system.

The PAGB 2024 submission of applications for FIAP Distinctions was again one of the largest from any country in the world, with a total of 78 successful applications, including one MFIAP and 7 EFIAP Diamond Distinctions. At Chichester CC this year Pietro Rocchiccioli was awarded the EFIAP/Silver distinction.

To start with you may consider entering the PAGB Masters of Print Competition which is held each year, followed by a public exhibition. The closing date is 1st December. Individual Photographers who are members of affiliated Clubs may enter directly. Prints may be entered to any combination of the Monochrome, Colour and Nature Categories, and awards are made to individual prints and to one or more Clubs. Prints are then selected for the Exhibition. Information from :
