Jan kicked off the summer photo walk with an entertaining, but challenging photo sprint around Chichester, the theme was to take images from a “Dogs eye view”. This theme was messaged to Jan on the night by a friend in Norway.
We had a good turn out with great images from our Club attendees, who walked off with all the honours.
We are not planning to run a walk next week as many people will be involved with the Exhibition Judging, but are looking for volunteers to organise walks through the summer. If you are interested please email me (email@example.com) with your location and date you can do and we can take things from there.
We are hoping to get something organised for Thursday 14th June, so watch this space, like Dave below.
Following the success of the recent Bluebell Photo Walk, many members have have expressed interest in doing photo walks during the summer season. The emphasis will be on a social event with cameras, rather than the old summer hike style walks.
Jan has volunteered to run the first, a fun sprint around Chichester.
If you are interested in attending walks please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will keep you informed of future events. Also, if you have any locations in mind, or if you fancy helping organise one please contact me.
We has a good turn out tonight for the Bluebell Photo walk, in addition to this keen bunch Richard Webb and Sue Watts also turned up.
People split into groups and went off to do their own thing, while generally staying together. A few traditionalists brought their tripods, but there was also a lot of camera waving, or ICM as it is called.
Hopefully we can organise more photo walks during the summer break, Dell Quay, Chichester and West Wittering were mentioned as possible venues.
Apparently autumn is a good time to visit the park as the rutting season is taking place. Hardy members might want to get there really early, but I am suggesting we arrive at 10:00am and meet up in the Petworth Park Car Park. This page explains how to get there.
Please consider your safety if photographing the deer and keep a reasonable distance.
Details about the deer are on the Petworth Web Site here.
