PAGB GROUP INFORMATION & MEETING DATES FOR 2016-2017
The PAGB group will meet once a month on a Monday evening led by Peter Rocchiccioli and Ann McDonald ably assisted by Phil Shaw.
What is the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain awards for photographic merit?
It is a national distinction scheme open to active members of affiliated amateur camera clubs and photographic societies. Holders of these awards keep them for life without renewal fees and can use the designated letters after their name.
Award Levels
The scheme features five progressive levels of distinction:
- BPAGB (Badge): Approaching good club photography (requires 7 prints).
- CPAGB (Credit): Good club photography (requires 10 prints or projected digital images).
- DPAGB (Distinction): Current exhibition standard (requires 15 images).
- EPAGB (Excellence): Good exhibition standard, open to current DPAGB holders.
- MPAGB (Master): The highest level of amateur club photography, requiring internationally capable work (set of 20 images).
At the last accreditation assessment we had one pass at BPAGB by David Pritchard and one pass at DAPGB by Phil Shaw.
If you are interested in pursuing these awards to obtain photographic accreditations letters after your name, this is a challenge for you but you can be assured of our support. In taking these challenges, it is very likely that your photography will improve as you strive to achieve a collection of images that are good enough to enter and pass. There have been attendances from members of other clubs to the PAGB group that have helped to retain a healthy balance and a learning experience for all. Each sessions cost £3.00 for members and £5.00 for non-members. We are looking to help members obtain their goals and objectives for 2026/27 with the purpose of obtaining their PAGB accreditation.
