Welcome to our 21/22 season

Well, where did that time go. It only seems like a week or so ago that we had our last meeting of the 20/21 season.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all again on Thursday, when we welcome Matt Emmett who will be presenting his talk about our forgotten heritage. It certainly looks like a great start to the 21/22 season.

A bit of good news is that David Pritchard has agreed to undertake the role of Vice Chair and for that I offer my thanks to David. Obviously David was not elected at the last AGM so has been co-opted under para 5.2 of the constitution which states as follows, ‘In the event of the loss of any other member(s) of the committee, the remaining members may co-opt a replacement from within their number or the club members until the next AGM, to serve until the next relevant election’. On that basis I trust that this is satisfactory to you all.
