Weekly update
On Thursday, we had a first class presentation from professional photographer Guy Edwardes, who showed some of his wonderful landscapes of the British Isles and accompanied them with lots of helpful technical advice and shooting tips. Guy runs about 40 very popular workshops each year, for which there is a waiting list, so book early! One of his images is featured.
The Club have written to Richard Ryder’s widow, expressing our shock and great sadness at his passing. We await details of the funeral arrangements and will circulate information when available.
Several people have signed-up for the Novium Museum’s project to photograph items from their collection from the Shippam’s Foods factory, which David Harris has kindly agreed to lead. More members of all abilities would be welcome, so please contact me at mailto:chair@chichestercameraclub.org.uk if you would like to know more.
Our photowalk in March is being organised by Giles Smith and will be held at Petworth House and Park on the 9th, meeting there at 10:30am. More details from me, as above.
Our meeting next Thursday (7th) will be the 2nd Advanced PDI competition, which is being judged by Jim Pascoe. The meeting will be at Tangmere, as usual.
The entry deadline for the 3rd Club/Intermediate PDI competition is also Thursday 7th March.
Nominations for the role of President next season will remain open until 14th March. Please send seconded nominations to me or to Lorraine at mailto:secretary@chichestercameraclub.org.uk
Attendance at the Print Group meetings has been very low this year, so we have decided reluctantly to suspend the meetings for the remainder of this season. Many thanks to George Atkins and Ray Acland for the time and expertise they have committed to the Group.
