Weekly update

Our final Thursday meeting of 2023 was primarily social and featured a light-hearted knockout PDI competition, with 123 entries being judged by the audience. Choosing between images became progressively harder, as the earlier favourites were paired against each other. They remained anonymous until the very end, when Amanda Patton’s storm scene (featured) edged Jean Brooks’ landscape, to take the winner’s bottle of champagne. Mince pies and other seasonal fare followed and the conversations went on well past our normal finishing time. Many thanks to the entrants and to all those who made the evening a great success. A very cordial way to (nearly) end the year.

Our year isn’t quite over, though. The Developer’s Group will meet on Monday 18th December and the RPS Group on the 19th. More details of both are below.

In other reminders, the closing date for the 2nd Club/Intermediate print competition coincides with our first meeting of the new year on Thursday 4th January. The Ladies ‘Little Christmas’ lunch is on the 5th January at the Walnut Tree, Runcton.
