We still need some more mounted images for display at St Wilfrids Hospice. The collection box will be out for the next two weeks. Thanks for all the images for the annual exhibition, which are ready for judging and selection.
In the last two meetings we have enjoyed some superb images, firstly by Leigh Preston who added a witty commentary to some of his eclectic images.
On Thursday the show of PDI images from The Southampton International competition where a number of members in the club gained honours (see PAGB Roll of honour for all winners) demonstrated that our best photographers are up amongst the very best from all over the world. The featured image from Frank Adams is one of the winners of honours. Well done.
The RPS subgroup and the Black and White group were well attended and all those who were at the Black and white group went home with some very effective tricks of alchemy in Photoshop learnt from John Bradshaw’s talk. We are bound to see some even better B&W images.
The summer walks are an occaision to meet club members socially and discover places in the region and get out on Thursday evenings. A list will be out for the next weeks to sign up and take responsibility for a walk by choosing meeting point and finishing point, (car park/pub). Program will be put on website.
