Annual Exhibition update

A quick update on key actions for the Annual Exhibition.
Entries
We’ve received a good number of entires so far, but do keep them coming. Remember:
- You are allowed a maximum of six prints and four PDIs
- You can enter images that have been in club competitions (this year or previously) or work that is new. You may not enter images that have appeared in a previous Annual Exhibition – print or PDI.
- If you enter prints you still need to upload a PDI of the image to Photocomp for reference purposes
- Bring prints to the club meeting on May 18 and put them in the appropriate box – Club, Intermediate or Advanced.
- The deadline for entries is May 18.
Cast your vote for the Coath and Edmunds cups
The Coath cup is for the Photographer of the Year. Who do you think has produced the best images or the year or has made the biggest improvement? Whatever any judge thinks. This is your chance to have a say.
The Edmunds cup is for the person who has made a special contribution to the club in the work that they have done to keep the club going.
Please cast your vote by early July by emailing chair@chichestercameraclub.org.uk.
Volunteer to help during the exhibition
Please consider volunteering to help with the exhibition. It takes quite a bit of manpower to keep the event going over 7 days and there are three teams that need volunteers:
- The heavy mob move all the equipment from Tangmere to the Assembly Room to set up the exhibition. Mike Harris is the leader – please contact him (mickpipharris@yahoo.co.uk) to add your name to the list.
- The catering team provide refreshments to visitors. This is an important income earner for us. Please contact Sarah Nichol (stewarding@chichestercameraclub.org.uk) to offer your services.
- The stewarding team ensure the exhibition is ready in the morning, and then greet visitors, encouraging them to buy catalogues and vote for their favourite images. This is a vital role in making visitors feel welcome. Julia Wainwright is co-ordinating this team – please contact her (stewarding@chichestercameraclub.org.uk) to help.
