Zoom Club Night Thursday 9th April 7:30pm

Hi all, Mike Harris here your Chair for next year.

Firstly a great big hello to all of you and I sincerely hope you are all well and coping with the constraints of this horrible lock down. I’ve cleaned my car more than once, decorated what I was ordered to worked in the garden and made serious inroads into my wine cellar.

Anyway that’s enough about me. I wanted to contact you to update you on what the committee have been working on to try and put together some sort of programme for the rest of this season.

We have purchased a software application called Zoom. This application has allowed us to hold online meetings and so far we have had a one full management meeting and a couple of smaller meetings to try and finalise the way forward. Zoom has also been used successfully by the PAGB group and hopefully will be used by the other groups within the club.

We also have an existing Flikr account and one of our members has set up a discussion on Flikr with the theme of portraits. Here you can upload a photo/s that meet the theme subject and others can see it and comment should they so wish. I hope you will have a look at both of these applications as it will enable us to run different types of interaction for all to enjoy. Instructions on how to access and use both Zoom and Flikr are attached to this newsletter.

Finally, We will be running a Zoom meeting this Thursday at the usual time of 19.30pm and I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to join us. The purpose is to give you all an opportunity to see Zoom in action and to have a general discussion on any other areas you would like us to explore.

This is very difficult time for all of us and the more activity we can generate will not only help the time to pass but will enable us to continue our joint interest in photography.
