Weekly Update
On Thursday Lawrence Homeword, a Surrey and Sussex based Photographer who is actively promoting Access to Photography, gave us an introduction to Lightoom with his talk ‘‘Tips, tricks and all things Lightroom’. Lawrence received his EFIAP in 2022 gaining over 250 international acceptances in almost 30 different countries featuring over 50 different images of different photographic genres. He gave us examples of his typical work flow using Lightroom.
Sarah and Jeff will build on this in the Digital Group this Tuesday 24th – see post below. Featured image is Catching Up by Jeff Owen
Thursday 26th of September will be the 1st Advanced PDI competition judged by Suzie Kirkby. There were 80 entries so there has been a cull of the 3 images per person down to 2.
1st Club and Intermediate PDI competitions are now live on the PhotoComp upload system (see post on 13 September). Open for entries until the end of Thursday, September 26th. The competition is on Thursday, October 10th.
We hope that those of you who would like to enter are preparing their images for the Small Print competition – deadline 3rd October for judging at the Print Group on the 8th Oct.
Your Prints – please make sure that you pick up your 2024 exhibition prints and those returned by the Selection Committee. If you cannot pick them up for any reason do let us know. Prints that have still been left with us on the 10th October will be offered to Angela and Guy for their External Exhibitions at The Hospice and Sage House where they will bring pleasure to others rather than sitting in one of our boxes in the cupboard. These get displayed for 6 months. Apart from these Angela and Guy would welcome any images you have for these displays. Thank you.
