virtual meeting of the pagb group monday 4th may

The next meeting of the PAGB Group will be a virtual meeting via Zoom. This will take place on Monday 4th May at 7.30. The invitation to the meeting is found below. If you have not used Zoom before please click on the link around 7.20,  when you will then be prompted to download and install the software. The meeting will run for no more than 90 minutes.

You don’t have to be a member of the PAGB Group to join in, all club members are welcome. If you wish to send me an image for inclusion in the discussion and critique please do so by email attachment. This image must be sent to me before Thursday 30th April. You do not have to send me an image to participate, you may just log in and watch if you wish. Should I receive more images than can be included in the 90 minute time frame then priority will be given to images from members of the PAGB Group.

Image size:  1920px x 1200px, sRGB

Please title the image with your name, followed by the image title. It would also be useful to attach a Word/Pages/Txt document with some image details such as camera/lens used, exposure, where/when taken,  plus any other interesting comments on the image.

PAGB Group Monday 6th April 2020

The next PAGB group meeting will be an online meeting using the club’s Zoom account. The meeting will start at 7pm, if you have not used Zoom yet, please allow time to set things up. You can join using a PC, laptop or tablet (even a smart phone).

Ann will be looking at images that have been sent to her via the Dropbox folder she has set up. Please contact her for more details. She will be sharing her screen so we can all see the images and Ann and the usual people will be making comments.

CLUB SUCCESS AT THE SOUTHAMPTON INTERNATIONAL exhibition OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Congratulations to six members of Chichester Camera Club who entered The Southampton Exhibition of Photography with considerable success. Between them they gained 6 awards and 21 acceptances, a terrific achievement at this prestigious exhibition. 

Amongst the club members who were successful were Chris Gledhill, Glyn Edmunds, Jim Munday, Lorna Brown and Richard Corkrey.  Congratulations to all!

pagb group SUCCESSES AT THE bristol INTERNATIONAL salon OF PHOTOGRAPHY.

Congratulations to Jim Munday and Lorna Brown who had images accepted at the Bristol International Salon of Photography. 

Jim had four images accepted and received an award for Taking a Pounding, featured below.

2020 FIAP Monochrome Biennial

Official COMMUNICATION From the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain

We are invited as Chichester Camera club members, to submit monochrome images for potential selection for the 2020 FIAP Monochrome Biennial.

This selection competition is open to clubs located in England, Northern Ireland and North Wales Regions.

The online competition entry system opens on the 1st February 2020.

Therefore if you have a mono PDI worth of considering for this representation please forward to me as PDI 1600×1200 Jpeg by 20th Feb for me to enter.

The meeting will take place at the small hall in the Tangmere Village Centre. We will meet at 6.45 pm for a prompt 7.00 pm start. Please come at 6.45 to help set the room up. The cost is £3 for club members and £4 for non-members.

Members are encouraged to bring along prints and/or digital images for in-depth constructive critique. We look forward to seeing you and your images.

PAGB DISTINCTION SUCCESS FOR Jim Munday DPAGB

Congratulations to Jim Munday who achieved his DPAGB distinction on Sunday 24th November. 

This is a very highly respected and difficult to achieve distinction. Jim submitted fifteen high quality images for adjudication and passed comfortably. 

Very well done Jim!
