Camera Craft focuses on the fundamental skill of photography: how to take successful images. We aim to inspire, inform and encourage members to develop their own technique and vision, whether inexperienced or experienced; using a phone or a fancy camera.
Each session will focus on a central theme to explore: examples from masters, compositional approaches, technical implications, practical exercises, and club member experiences. We will also suggest other resources (magazines, YouTube videos, books etc) that provide more information. There will be an emphasis on encouraging interaction around the group, and presentations will be short and sharp. We are co-ordinating with the Photowalks programme to provide further opportunities to experiment in the field.
Our goal is that participants gain knowledge and confidence in the use of their own camera, understand what types of photography may interest them and how to pursue that interest.
