Annual Exhibition 2023

Just a gentle reminder that there is just under a month to go before the deadline to submit your entries for the annual exhibition. Remember the limit is six prints and four PDIs. More information on how to to enter is available in the Entrants’ Guidance.

If you were a lucky winner last year, then please remember to return your trophies to David Abbott before the end of the season, so he can prepare them to be engraved for this year.

Please consider volunteering to help with the exhibition. It takes quite a bit of manpower to keep the event going over 7 days! It’s a great way to get involved and get to know other members. There are three teams that need volunteers:

• The heavy mob move all the equipment from Tangmere to the Assembly Room to set up the exhibition. Mike Harris is the leader – please contact him (mickpipharris@yahoo.co.uk) to add your name to the list.
• The catering team provide refreshments to visitors. This is an important income earner for us. Please contact Sarah Nichol (digitalgroup@chichestercameraclub.org.uk) to offer your services.
• The stewarding team ensure the exhibition is ready in the morning, and then greet visitors, encouraging them to buy catalogues and vote for their favourite images. This is a vital role in making visitors feel welcome. Julia Wainwright is co-ordinating this team – please contact her (julia@juliasimagesuk.com) to help.

However long you have been a member of the club I would encourage you to participate in all ways to make it a great success.
