Weekly update

On Thursday, the final round of the Club and Intermediate print competitions was very ably judged by Steve Kirkby CPAGB/AV. The results from the evening are posted below. Overall top of the Club league was Vincent Lavender, who wins the Brieley Cup, which will be presented at the Annual Exhibition. Amanda Patton won the Intermediate competition and with it the Simcox Trophy. Congratulations to you both. The featured image is Amanda’s ‘Cloud Forest’.

As the summer approaches (I hope), there are lots of reminders:

Next week will be the Club’s AGM, which be held by Zoom at the non-standard starting time of 8pm. I shall be away, so Vice Chair Sue Nash will be chairing the meeting. Please make every effort to attend. The papers for the meeting are on the website. Go to Documents>Published Documents>Annual General Meeting>2024 (or use this link). The Zoom link is also on the website, under the Programme heading.

Thank you to all the previous trophy winners who returned them on Thursday. Please will you arrange to deliver the remaining trophies to our President, David Abbott as soon as possible.

Please remember to vote in the Coath and Edmunds Cup competitions. The Coath is for your photographer of the year and the Edmunds for the person you think has done the most for the operation of the Club during the 2023/24 season. Please send your nominations for both cups to mailto:chair@chichestercameraclub.org.uk
