Newsletter weekending 12th September
Season Opening Highlights
The new season has got off to a flying start. Jet Lendon opened with an engaging session on smartphone photography, followed by a thought-provoking presentation from club member Caroline Preece.
Caroline’s presentation was the first in a series of three. Her second session will take place on Thursday 12 November.
Photo Safari Interest
Kevin left interest forms out on Thursday for members who would like to attend one of the planned photo safaris. There are two proposed locations for the photo safaris, one is Brighton, the other is London. Eight people signed up in person, and a further 27 had already expressed interest via WhatsApp following Jet’s talk.
- The sign-up sheets will be available again next Thursday 17th September.
- The WhatsApp expressions of interest have been noted.
Special Interest Group: PAGB
Between our first two Thursday evening club nights, we held the first meeting of the PAGB special interest group. This group is aimed at members seeking accreditation for their images.
However, it is also well worth attending for other members, as the sessions offer useful tips and constructive critique on images being prepared for accreditation.
Volunteers Needed: Vote of Thanks
We still need volunteers to deliver this season’s Vote of Thanks. If you would like to take part, please add your name to the sign-up sheet.
This Coming Week
