Abandoned America
Tony’s talk tonight “Abandoned America” is drawn from two books he has published “Ghosts in The Wilderness” and “Abandoned On The Plains” which documents the abandonment he witnessed in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. This was a very personal project undertaken over many years which describes the plight confronting many of the homesteaders throughout much of the 20th Century. He was able access abandoned properties, which were often full of toys, books, furniture which only added to that sense of pathos.
