Ollie Taylor – “Dark Horizons” [Zoom Meeting]

FreeZoom presentation – No meeting at Tangmere: Following on from the talk that focused on a photographic journey from an era that was predominantly the start of landscape astrophotography, this talk is based on a recent, previously postponed 2-month self-drive journey. The Bolivian, Chilean and Peruvian Altiplano, an area considered a Mecca for landscape astrophotography, and renowned for having the best atmospheric conditions on the planet for astronomy. An adventure over some of the most remote landscapes in the world riddled with logistical problems, high altitude, sub-zero temperatures, low humidity and a complete lack of civilization and infrastructure. The presentation will show landscape, nightscape, astronomy images alongside behind the scenes images and video.
