Michael Berkley: An Introduction to Music and Sport Photography

I have been taking photographs for most of my life. My Father was an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and I spent many happy hours with him in his darkroom when I was growing up. He was my inspiration.
I specialise in photographing sport and music, but also enjoy travel and street photography. Based near Salisbury, I am one of the house photographers at The Joiners music venue in Southampton, and photograph regularly for Hampshire Cricket Club, Salisbury Football Club and Druids Lodge Polo Club. I have photographed some 25 different sports and am always looking for new opportunities.
This talk is about how to get started in the fields of music and sports photography and provides examples of what and doesn’t work. I cover general principles and ‘free form’.
