Over the years many club members have successfully used Googles Nik Software for imaging purposes.
For the past year the software has been free on the Google website and recently there have been rumours that it will be removed and no longer be available.
My Nik software has suddenly stopped working, every time I try to log into it with an image the software throws it out along with either Photoshop or Lightroom putting me back into Bridge. The reason for this is because Mac, Microsoft and Adobe have improved their software which now makes Nik unusable. There is no fix nor will there be for this problem. If your version is still working then be extremely careful if you decide to update with any of the above because you will lose Nik.

What versions of Photoshop, Lightroom & Windows/Mac OS are you using?
I’ve done a quick test in Photoshop on the following:
1. Dfine
2. Viveza 2
3. Analogue Efex Pro 2
4. Color Efex Pro 4
And not had any problems.
My Version of PS CC is 2017.1.1 [64 bit release] which I believe is the latest.
I’m running this on Windows 10 64 bit version 1703 [the so called “Creators Update”]; the most recent update was the monthly update on 12 Jul [2017-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4025342)]. My System checked for updates yesterday.

Ray, my Nik plugins still work with latest Windows 10 and Adobe CC PS and Lightroom. I’m not aware of any conspiracy by Microsoft, MAC and Adobe to stop them working.
It is a shame that Google will be letting Nik wither away, but that is another story.
The usual advice in these cases is to try to re-install Nik.
In older versions of Photoshop the Nik software apps were installed in c:\program files\Adobe Photoshop CC2015.x\Plug-Ins. For more recent versions of Photoshop you need to copy and paste (or drag) these to a new location: c:\program files\Adobe Photoshop CC2017\Plug-Ins and then restart PS.
If you are using a Mac, you have to do the same inside the /Applications/ folder.
