{"id":7720,"date":"2018-07-02T10:07:36","date_gmt":"2018-07-02T09:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/?p=7720"},"modified":"2018-07-02T10:07:36","modified_gmt":"2018-07-02T09:07:36","slug":"arps-successes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chichestercameraclub.org.uk\/?p=7720","title":{"rendered":"ARPS successes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&apos;m delighted to be able to tell you that both Lynne Owen and Tony Baverstock have\u00a0 achieved their Associateships with the Royal Photographic Society, a real accomplishment.<\/p>\n<p>They will both admit that one of the hardest parts of gaining and ARPS is that the panel &#8211; of 15 images &#8211;\u00a0 has to have a theme.\u00a0 That the highest standards of photography are required is a given, but finding and delivering a themed panel is a real challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Tony had considered all sorts of projects, and then one day was just crushing a drinks bottle for the recycling when he saw how beautifully the light played\u00a0 on the plastic.\u00a0 From that, he created a superb panel of black and white abstract images, as you can see from the examples below.<\/p>\n<p>Lynne too had tried out a few ideas &#8211; and you might have seen something of her eventual successful panel at North Mundham earlier this year.\u00a0 A truly creative idea around windows that really open to reveal the interior &#8211; and again you can see a couple of these below.<\/p>\n<p>It&apos;s congratulations to both Lynne and Tony, both awarded ARPS in the Fine Art category.
